Got episodes 1-7 loaded up in the IPlayer.

Number 8 (when I watched it back on Saturday as a trial) was the audio and deaf description version. Annoying at first cos at any and every gap between Sir Dave's whispers there is a lady describing the scene eg. the diver slowly reaches the sea floor, he can just make out a pink bulbous animal floating in the murkiness...! After a while it is easy to ignore the other lady signing away in the corner although it means you dont get a full screen if animal action except when there's no talking.

It actually makes you realise just how little talk is actually involved in the programmes. The audio description actually makes you appreciate the animals even more...even if the descriptions are a little wrong on some occasions!

Will know in the next hour if all the other IPlayer shows are audio described.

Episodes 1-10 all successfully yoinked/watched along with all 10 of the CBBC half hour supporting progammes :P And none strangely with audio+deaf description. (I do stick the subtitles on myself though just so I can actually read the funny names of some of the creatures!)

I have decided...there are NOT enough stunning programmes about insects on tv. Can I start an FB prog to force BBC Bristol/Nature Unit to get more commissioned? :P

Certainly appreciate not seeing any repeated shots lifted from Blue Planet Earth :P There were similar shots eg the dolphins doing their clever coralling fish thing (this time in Florida and not New York State or wherever the previous action was filmed...although the caribou MAY have been old footage...anyway) but it nearly was all new and so far reaching with its camera work and effort.

This series has cemented my thoughts for wanting to get seriously trained in animal work/care/conservation.

God I love the IPlayer.

Being able to catch up on Series 4 of Doctor Who (which I missed except the last 3 due to being in Oz) thanks to BBC3 re-runs before this weekend's showdown is mightily impressive too.

Have mostly given up on watching regular telly now. T'internet tv downloads all the way. Now got to remember to start hammering Channel 4's offerings too.

Well then hes in the best position to make a tv show about it.

The religious nutters dont like him because he is perhaps the most travelled man in the history of mankind and therefore has maybe the most knowledge to actually say that there is no God and that religion is a load of nonsense. The man has seen some mad shit!
