Just watched the first three episodes of this on Blu-Ray. Utterly brilliance made even better. I've got Planet Earth of DVD, but I'm considering upgrading that to Blu-Ray come pay day. Wonderful.

I'm also making my way through the wonders of the solar system, and whilst it's not as impressive as Life - different subject matter I know - but it's engaging enough. I had no idea that Professor Brian Cox, OBE, Phd blah de blah, was in D:Ream. He's another one of those annoying polymath people, clearly.

I never knew that either! Its like someone taking the piss on Wikipedia.

He was in D:Ream. Went in to the studio with them recently before Christmas to help them lay a few new tracks down.

Also, I saw the first episode of First Life. Was it just a one-off special, or did I miss an entire season of Life?

edit : I've just finised watching the Solar System thing. It got better. Not sure about finishing the series on a Carpenter's song. And it wasn't even my favourite Carpenters song.
