It's a good description of something but it's not indie. Sticking with real modern indie acts do The Horrors fit into this? No. Do Girls? No. Do f**k Buttons? No. Going back further you couldn't really put Sonic Youth or My Bloddy Valentine or Pixies into that catagory. As I keep saying any atempt to group 'indie' bands on how they sound is just pointless because indie was never a term to describe the music.
