Can't say I'm a big fan of musical but I saw The Producers at the Drury Lane and it was outstanding.

I'm hoping Young Frankenstien comes to the UK.

I f**king HATE musicals. I don't think they're gay as such, just shite. (Unless we're going back to that tedious discussion about whether saying the word 'gay' in a negative way is homophobic, but I digress).

They're annoying, they're irritaing and they seem to scream to me (quite literally) 'we can't act well enough to be a proper actor, but we can't sing well enough to be in a band either, so let's ruin this scene by singing a vomit-enducing ballad'.

Musicals suck.

It's so bizarre that this topic got brought back up. I have just got off the phone to our lass who has been offered two tickets for 'Hairspray!' for this Saturday.

Oh for f*cks sake I thought when she told me.

It was one of those, 'oh...we can have a chat about it tonight over tea' responses. Hopefully will give me time to note every single arguement she could possibly bring up.

Hate these scenarios. It always ends up with upset...

Saw Lion King last month with my sister and that was amazing - so much to watch during some scenes you don't know where to look! Would love to go and see more musicals however we don't get many touring versions come our way, and when they do i'm usually working/skint/etc. Still gutted that the touring version of Rocky Horror ain't coming near us, however did see it several years ago (think i was around 16, had Jonathan Wilkes (aka Robbie's mate) as Frank'n'Furter) and last year we saw the sing along version and went all dressed up!
