I think that's one down and 499 threads to go :P

Seriously though this changes nothing, they were always a possibility, now they're still a possibility.

Hopefully V will snap them up and we'll get one of the other headliners that will be about like.... erm... hmm..................................... My Chemical Romance?! Really?!.....Bollocks.

You're not wrong. But someone has to drink a bottle of Jager in a day and then tell anyone who'll listen that most of the bands appearing can't even hold a candle to Bowling for Soup in terms of a live performance, let alone any good bands! And I'll be damned if I'll trust anyone else with the job!

If I remember correctly you texted me when I was in such a state at this years fest! :P

Well, itd give them the english exclusive they love to brag about. And if theyre big enough to headline TitP, theyre big enough to headline R/L. Although i usually get the feeling that, as crazy as it may sound, id rather have an interesting headliner who isnt exclusive, rather than an average one cause they are.

I don't see how this makes it more likely they'll play but in saying that they probably will. I can't stand them and would avoid them like the plague but I'd hope they'd have someone decent up against them like The Flaming Lips.

i'd be pretty happy with the strokes followed by kasabian.

kasabian are well worthy of a headline slot.......if the arctic zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz (sorry i just fell asleep) monkeys can headline, then kasabian can easily have a go.

if they do headline it will be good to hear songs like 'british legion', 'doberman' and 'butcher blues' as every time i have seen them recently they have only played their singles which IMO aren't as good.

I reckon we should probably accept the three most likely headliners at this juncture are Blink 182, Kasabian and My Chemical Romance.

I know a lot of people (including me) are doubting MCR's headlining credentials, but if Kasabian can do it, so can they, particularly if their 4th album is as well received as it looks like it will be. Plus it would explain the guy from the band's excitement on twitter before this years festival - surely it's only the headliners that are booked that far in advance.

Only other band I can think of are GNR and quite frankly, I'd rather MCR headline than suffer through Axl Rose methodicly and thoroughly destroying the band's legacy with the help of his (barely) pub standard back-up band.

Unless there are surprises, but I don't see it happening.
