Can I propose the possibility of Elvis Costello supporting Paul McCartney on the Sunday?

Costello has just announced a small UK solo tour with no London dates either side of the HRC weekend, with “more dates to follow”:

Mon June 21st Symphony Hall, Birmingham

Wed June 23rd New Theatre, Oxford

Thu June 24th St Davids Hall, Cardiff

Mon June 28th Philharmonic Hall, Liverpool

It seems strange that he would announce no London dates, and McCartney and Costello have collaborated on numerous occasions so… At first I thought Costello would be too big, but it is a solo tour (i.e. without the Imposters).

Of course it could just mean he’s playing Glastonbury. Or meltdown.

cant believe all this 'transaction fee' & 'processing fee' hidden costs they add on! its a disgrace! was about to buy a day ticket for Pearl Jam advertised at £47.50 i think, and with all the fees comes to 59 f**kn quid!!!

Anyway screw seetickets, is the pearl jam day likely to sell out & do they hold some tickets back u can buy on the day at the box office? cos surely there they cant charge all these ridiculous fees

Keeping in mind the Pearl Jam day is already full (I assume), I dont think any of the Reading & Leeds acts will fit in on Sat/Sun at HRC very much.

I see Wireless has Taylor Hawkins and The Coattail Riders. I really think they would be far better suited to supporting Paul McCartney at HRC... anyone else??

EDIT: A thought just came to me... Perhaps, maybe, POSSIBLY the reason Taylor Hawkins isn't playing at HRC is because a certain bandmate of his IS and they don't want to start a big rumour mill about a possible collaboration happening, which would take some of the spotlight away from McCartney... I can dream, right?? :P
