" We know you are all eager to hear our next announcement, so apologies to all who were waiting patiently last week for some news (it has been a little longer than we initially stated). We can finally confirm our next instalment of acts for 2010 will be revealed at 9am tomorrow morning (Wednesday 5th May). Patience is virtue."

well, for good or bad - it's coming :P

I used to "hate" Keane. Then i saw them play a festival back in 2007 aaand i was blown away so yeah.

I'd say they're "too big" as well but then again, who is too big to support McCartney?

At least we're all excited by the announcement. Better be surprising. Or really good.

Hope u wont be disappointed with announcement. Think nobody mentioned Cranberries, they doing few festivals in july. And remember, there's a worse option than Keane, it's called The Feeling :P

Right Diane Birch I know and she is good (seen her on Jools Holland recently too which explains that one) and Melissa Etheridge is a 90s singer / guitarist I remember (sounds a bit like Kim Carnes) but the rest I don't know at all.

Not overly excited by this announcement and with the ash cloud returning this could turn into a crap summer!

I'm not disappointed by that stage lineup; I'm very open to listening to new music.

What I'm disappointed in is the organisers. They did that deliberately, and they could easily have said yesterday "Saturday Pepsi Max lineup to be announced tomorrow at 9am", but they didn't and they led everyone on, and got our hopes up that it would be the Sunday.

The organisers are visibly, undeniable c*nts of the highest order.

They could now get everyone on my wishlist to play, and I would still have this bad feeling about this whole incident, this whole reluctance about telling us anything, the not announcing the lineup until the last minute thing. Totally ruined the run-up to the festival for me.

I'll enjoy myself, don't get me wrong, but it will be because of Pearl Jam, Stevie Wonder and Paul McCartney, and not because those c*nts have done a good job organising the festival. Because they haven't.

Simple answer is next year go elsewhere, I will deffinitely not be buying my HRC tickets next year until at least the support acts have been announced (and by then I'll probably have something else on anyway!).

This is terrible organisation, at least with Glastonbury you have some idea even if the whole line-up isn't sorted. All they need to do is name-drop the 2nd stage headliner and the main support act and all would be ok, sort the others later. Sadly this has gone a bit pearshaped and smacks of negotiations being ongoing... and I go on holiday in just over a week so I won't know until the week of the event!

Right, well that was a bit of an anti-climax! Was it going to be the Pixies, TCV, etc, etc......:P

Been really dissapointed with the way the organisers have treated us! Don't get me wrong, I'm absolutely ecstatic to see Paul McCartney, but I can't help feeling that when I'm drinking my cool beer on the evening of June 27th that there will be a slight bitter taste because I'm so dissapointed with how this thing has been run.

I've never heard of the acts announced today, and I'm sure they're good, but the fact that everyone was so excited because this was the first announcement in months, well, it's a bit of a let down frankly.

Anyways, HRC, this will be my first, and most probably, last HRC if this is the way you treat us, the customer. Hop Farm, Glastonbury or Bestival next year anyone?!

It isn't actually a cloud of volcanic ash thats causing chaos for the airlines, its actually 10's of thousands of ripped up Hard Rock Calling tickets being blown into the atmosphere...

Was gonna book if they announced the Pixies on the Sunday...thank God I waited!

A thought: when you have McCartney as a headliner, why would you spend money on other good names?

Most people go to see the headliners. If other names are good, great. If they're shit, well i'm here to see PJ/Stevie/Paul.

If (big IF) it's Keane, maybe they have an agreement to wait until their new EP is released. It's a bit intricate, but why not. Still, i have a feeling that the support band might not be "that big".

I refuse to believe that the Volcanic Ash is delaying announcements for Sunday!

What I do somewhat believe is that the reluctance to announce the rest of Sunday may have something to do with McCartney's upcoming tour.

Anyways, get Blondie booked! They're free on the 27th and the day before they are in London too. Do it!
