i thought this was gonna be what BANDS should play rockness. sofar you've discussed *shudder* Tiesto and calvin harris and fat boy slim.

sigh.....

BANDS i would like to see play......for during the day in a tent.....

Frightened Rabbit, Florence + The Machine and Foals.

Tiesto is god awful and would put me off going. He wouldn't get booked for Rockness anyways!!!

I realise im repeating myself here but i'd like to see the following booked:

i think we have been quite lucky with some of the acts we have had! It now means its hard to get electronic acts that havent played before!!!

there has also been a bit of a shortage of world class electronic acts in recent years... when you think about some of the big ones, Orbital, Daft Punk, Chemical Brothers, Underworld, The Prodigy, Groove Armada etc... they have been on the go for a long time.

Naturally Justice have enterted the fray, but on the whole we have lacked a couple of new contenders to the Monarch.

Even some of the future greats (subjectivly speaking) SMD and the Soaulwax/2manydj's have already played Rockness....

we are a picky bunch... :P

cant believe i never thot of this before but the Yeah Yeah Yeahs would be an awesome headline act for rockness. saw them at titp this year and they were brilliant, one of the best bands of the weekend for me, they could totally pull off a headline slot and karen o is off her f**king rocker

I really think Seasick Steve would be a good addition. He is cool as f**k and I think the whole Rockness vibe would suite him.
