sifi
not saying it's a shining example. all i'm saying is that there are places with much stricter policies than 'speak the language'.
feral chile
Friend of mine ordered a Diet Coke in a bar in North Wales, and was brought 2 Cokes. The way he told the story though implied that it was a quite deliberate "misunderstanding".
feral chile
I agree but it should be their choice when and how well.
sifi
I'm fascinated by Ice Cube's deinition of nigger. He says most American blacks are niggers, because they've not risen up and as such don't deserve to be called anything but.

Gre
There was a town in Austraillia advertising for men as they have far too many females to males. The advert was basically "come here and get your hole!"

Cardboard Box City
I like Chris Rock's I haven't got sound, but I think this is the right clip;
-pogo-
Pretty sure it was the other way round - there are lots of small towns in Australia (mining, fishing etc) where lots of men go to work, because you can make a lot of money for doing a relatively low-skilled job if you're prepared to work hard and life in a shite hole the middle of nowhere (and some of the people I met in small towns out there seemed seriously rich.) But most of the women brought up in those places leave, because they're usually shite holes in the middle of nowhere.

sifi
Wasn't there an outcry because the mayor went onto say that all these extra women were ugly, or something?

Billy09
Yeah, it was something like....don't worry to all the guys who aren't lucky with the ladies, there are ugly ones for you too" or something like that.
Gre
Nah not this place! It was in the East and actualy got women to pose for an ad campaign in attracting men. The campaign said something like "There's three women to one in ......"
Langdale Wolf
Dear Australia, I am a man who would like to move to your country. I have no intention of working, but have low standards and am willing to put my cock in just about anything breathing. I would expect to be financially supported whilst doing this. When should I arrive? That should work.........
sifi
I think you're wrong - this is the story I was meant; http://www.theage.com.au/opinion/calling-a...80819-3y8c.html
rabid
Sorry, it was this bit of your post I was trying to answer (or at least avoid answering), the rest you seemed to have answered yourself. I'd like to move to Australia as well, but in my case it's the misses that's stopping us. I've not really looked into it but was under the impression there was some sort of points system based on your age and skills. I'd also heard they've got a shortage of young men there due to them all leaving the country (presumably to work as barmen) and it was getting easier to get in, but that may well be bollocks. Billy09
What, young Australian men are only good for bar work? That's a bit racist isn't it?

Kowalski
She changed her story 4 times, and initially blamed a black bar owner who had 300 witnesses saying he couldn't have done it. They both switched off their mobile phones from 8pm - 6am on the night of the murder and records prove this was the first time since arriving in Italy that Knox had switched off her phone. Looks like a botched police job to me. If you fuck up the DNA evidence then you've had it. Even if an appeal by the prosecution to the supreme court is successful, they'll never extradite her back now. rexclark
Not only do The Mail make a monumental fuck up with the story, they also feel the need to use a picture of the victims dead body. Nice.
