I started on the Download forum and Im gunna start one on here too, I know theres a rumours thread but thats more about the lack of rumours, this is for who might play, and as I started it, I can keep editing the first post for ease of viewing for everyone. Right here we go!

STRONG RUMOUR

KASABIAN [The Sun says they're headlining V]

FLORENCE AND THE MACHINE [big newish act, played R&L last year]

SCOUTING FOR GIRLS [new album out in March, aren't going to play R&L]

FAITHLESS [new album out in 2010, seem to love V and play it every year they have a new album out, hinted last year they were playing]

RUMOUR

ARCTIC MONKEYS [headlined R&L last year, if they are doing fests next year, could play V if they want to as they never have done]

GASLIGHT ANTHEM [played R&L last two years, are playing 2 fests in Germany week before V]

FRIENDLY FIRES [played R&L last year, new album out next year]

WHITE LIES [big success in 2009, played R&L last year, will play V or R&L probably in 2010]

SUGABABES [new album in 2010, typical V act, want to play fests]

THE MAGIC NUMBERS [new album in 2010, typical V act, want to play fests]

Seriously, Ive been to Download, and they could easily play there, some of their stuff is a bit indie, but not too much to not play, what you think they can only play Reading and Leeds or something? If they're touring Europe at only that time and want to do festivals and get approached I can see them playing, If Feeder can headline Download, why the f**k can't Pavement play, they aren't any less 'rock' than them, Pendulum have played Download the last two years, seriously, open your mind a bit pal

lostprophets are worth a shout surely. played r/l least year. v have booked them before. and there new song is the catchiest motherf**ker ever, they are seriously mainstream now. if they hit another number 1 album, then v will be interested.

I think your looking at kasabian & muse for headliners. Then all the usual drib drab keane, goldie looking chain, magic numbers, will young, robbie williams, pink, paolo nutini, sterophonics, lost prophets, alphabeat etc.

Hmmm Lost Prophets could maybe headline second stage at V, I think thats the only way they'll be back

I can see them more likely back at Download in 2010, but after last playing there they headlined, would they play lower down the bill cus after headlining second stage at Reading this year, a year after headlining download, to go back to download and headline main stage again just makes download look so weak.

So yeah, you could be onto something there, or they could play high on main stage at Reading as I doubt that many people who regularly go would have seen LP at Reading this year as they were up against Radiohead. So IMO I can see them top 3 main stage at Reading and Leeds more than anything.
