luckysalt
For Reading Friday, Saturday, Sunday main stage. Put top six in, might not be in right order or whatever, but I think theres a good chance of these acts playing The Strokes Klaxons Pendulum The Enemy Babyshambles The Subways My Chemical Romance Them Crooked Vultures Biffy Clyro MGMT Dizzee Rascal The Wombats Blink 182 Lost Prophets Paramore The Cribs We Are Scientists 30 Seconds To Mars
Chavmeisterdeluxe
This is the first year where I've had no idea. My guesses for Headliners are MCR, KISS and an 'indie' headliner of some sort. I think Blink will play as main support to MCR so we get months of whining. rexclark
I'd go see that. As with most line up guesses there are a good few I could see happening but I hope they wouldn't have MCR and Blink headline different days but I couldn't see how else you could accomadate both. VCK
Would be even weaker than this year's line-up. At least this year Radiohead, The Prodigy and Placebo were all on the Main Stage adding a sliver of meat, along with Ian Brown but he was billed in the wrong slot... Would be nice having The Strokes headline though, quality band but I reckon they're likelier to second headline. For the record, this is my prediction (Leeds-wise): FRIDAY MAIN STAGE Foo Fighters Slipknot Pendulum Biffy Clyro Jimmy Eat World Gallows Flogging Molly Elliot Minor Cancer Bats NME/RADIO 1 STAGE The Enemy The Pigeon Detectives The Shins SATURDAY MAIN STAGE Blink 182 My Chemical Romance Dizzee Rascal Paramore MGMT The Gaslight Anthem Seasick Steve The Young Knives Bombay Bicycle Club You Me At Six NME/RADIO 1 STAGE Florence And The Machine Foals Regina Spektor Joe Lean And The Jing Jang Jong SUNDAY MAIN STAGE Kasabian The Strokes Elbow The Cribs The Maccabees Death Cab For Cutie The Wombats Patrick Wolf The Academy Is... Hadouken! NME/RADIO 1 STAGE Feeder The Subways Frank Turner The Big Pink
luckysalt
Seems extremely strong, I do kinda like it though but Slipknot won't be around next year, its Stone Sour touring, And Kasabian are headlining V.
Dave
If The Strokes play they would headline. I think it will be The Strokes, Kasabian and Blink 182 headlining. The Maccabees defo will headline one night of NME.

Kyelo
Not neccersarily, they didn't headline T last time they played and as they are headlining Isle of White and Rockness I wouldn't have thought they would headline Reading and Leeds as they like at the least English exclusives. Second place would be more likely imo.

thomasowen
All depends on how big the headliners are really.
frankie boy
Whats the obsession with Kasabian I think they are Ok but nothing bigger than nme headliner mayybe 3rd on mainstage I just think they are extremley over rated pish. But then arctic monkeys headlined pyramid at glasto after their first year being in the big time didnt they?

thetime
how much you like them is irrelevant though. In the uk, theyve sold not many less albums than the Arctic Monkeys, not to mention theyve just released probably there best selling album and single in recent months. thomasowen
is that a factual comment about kasabian selling similar amount of records as arctic monkeys? thought it would be a huge difference with am first and second album selling huge amounts. scottt
The difference is AM had a huge selling debut, a second album that sold a bit less and a third album that sold less still, with Kasabian the opossite is true, their albums have got progressivly more succesful and I would predict that West Pauper and Humbug have sold simular numbers. Overall AM have sold a lot more records than Kasabian, and they're getting number ones in other countries as well (unlike Kasabian).
thomasowen
West pauper will sell alot more than Humbug imo. AM have obviously sold more, but the gap is closing.
rexclark
At Leeds in 05 Kasabian got a massive crowd on the second stage compared to The Pixies on the main Stage and they've got alot bigger since then.
luckysalt
At Reading, I watched an hour of the Pixies main stage set I believe, and then went to second stage to watch Kasabian and Im sure they either hadn't started or they were just starting when I got there, I think that had a lot to do with it, I remember the tent getting packed shortly after, and im sure Kasabian were still playing for about 45 minutes after The Pixies had finished their set

stephen07
tells you more about the reading/leeds festival customer than anything else, similar to v when radiohead headlined and razorlight got a bigger crowd than radiohead. thetime
Sorry to tell you this, but razorlight played the same night as morrisey not radiohead. Kasabian was on the radiohead day, i know as i watched radiohead and razorlight.
VCK
Kasabian are a good band but I wouldn't dream of seeing them over Pixies.
