Really enjoying this thread, it's giving me the glastonbury goosebumps!

I'm taking my first timer boyfriend this year and he has just decided to do some serious ligament damage to his ankle, I'm intending to send him some inspiring glasto photos to make sure he recovers in time... Fingers crossed!

If I can find the cable for the hard drive my pics are saved to I'll upload some to help the cause. There's some amazing pics here, they're all something to be proud of! :)

Lens envy?

I've been trying to work out what that lens is. It's a Sigma, obviously, and he's got a Nikon, although I can't tell which one -- you can't see the strap like you can of the girl next to him.

I think it might be the Bigma without its hood. It's not the 70-200 because that goes wider at the end. I guess I'm surprised that there's a professional at Glasto without a couple of FF bodies with the 24-70 & 70-200 lenses.

Personally I think its an older model Nikon from the righting at the bottom, its buttons and its uniform shape. The tamron and sigma are all wider at the top.

Ah yes, I can see it more clearly now its enlarged. It's definitely a Nikon, maybe this one (apologies for linking to Rockwell):

Hi George

I'm taking a dslr this year, only had it a few weeks so I'm a complete beginner, a canon 30d, what lens do you use for most of your glastonbury pictures? I'm not really there to take shots of the bands I just want to record the life and people of the festival. I have a 28-80mmm and a 80-200mm but was going to buy a 300mm for wildlife after glasto but not sure whether I should get it beforehand.

Cheers
