Aye I didn't notice it either until I went to drive up to the gym earlier. Stepped out my house and thought "f*ck that" and headed back inside. My street's no been gritted at all so there's actually a layer of ice under the snow on the roads making getting on to a main road dangerous :P

I got stuck at a shoping centre in it :P Went in boots, smelt some perfumes and aftershaves for gifts, went to go outside and just saw all this snow suddenly comining down. Thus everyone tried to leave to get out before either being trapped by the snow(Which wouldn't have happened due to it going as quick as it came), or the gridlock that was created by everyone trying to be clever and leave. Gave up after 15 minutes of trying to get out and went round a lovely empty tesco's doing the Christmas shop with my mum :P

It's crazy up in High Earnock. Took me an hour and 20 mins to get home from work today- spent an hour on Wellhall road alone :P

Least I got home though I suppose. My dad had to ditch his car and walk home whilst my mum left her car at work and got a train back to Hamilton and walked from there.

I'm supposed to be working at 6am tomorrow morning but tbh I really don't fancy the thought of driving at that time in these conditions. The main roads are fine (for now anyway) but trying to get onto them is going to be a complete and utter nightmare. God I hope it snows later!

What time did you finish today? I finished at 4.45 and headed down to Central. It was absolutely packed and nothing was running through Paisley at that time. Ended up jumping on a bus on Union St and eventually got to Paisley at 6.40. If I had got my planned 5 o'clock train I'd have been back for 5.10. :P

From what people were saying on the bus Central was shut for a while?

Trains broke down and signals failed seemingly

My brother was going to finish Xmas shopping today but his bus turned around at the Raith Interchange and was told that he could use his ticket for the train. The trains were being cancelled left right and centre when he got to Hamilton Central though. In the end he never got anything done and wasted about 3 hours waiting for buses/ trains and sitting in traffic :P

Cheers for that mate. It was bloody mental inside Central. I must have just got inside as they reopened the gates as people were pouring out the station. Tried to make my way over to platforms 11-15 but it was a wall of people. Looked up at the boards and everything was delayed. Decided that it was worth a try heading for a bus and got lucky that there was one heading through Paisley pulling up as I got there. Saying that it spent half an hour trying to get from there to the river!

Got back to the car and it had about 4 inches of snow on top of it. Switched on the engine and then jumped out to start clearing the windscreen. Thought I'd try to be smart and leaned in and put on the windscreen wipers and a big lump of snow fell inside the car, all over my seat and in the side pocket! Got a big puddle in there now! :P Ended up going to Braehead and the roads around there were alright as was central Paisley but up my way is pretty bad and my street is treacherous. Going to be fun in the morning if it freezes tonight. :P

I was struggling in my street and was a bit worried about the clutch so ended up parking it up in the street Our driveway is quite steep and covered in snow, no way I would have been able to park up on it tonight. A few abandoned cars just off the main road weren't quite as lucky as me! Was your dad's car at the bottom of that big hill on the main road? That's a hell of a slope, well done for getting it up there! :P
