When you're eating soup from a bowl using a teaspoon (i have a very small mouth so i don't like big spoons) and the spoon slides into the soup and is completely submerged by soup. You have to get another spoon to spoon out the spoon from the soup, and it's very messy and there's soup and spoons all over the place.

One of the employees from a subcontractor has had to come back to work too early after major surgery because the slimy bastards don't pay her SSP.

I have given her some information on benefits available and told her to go home but she probably won't. She's signed off from the GP too.

This is not right in this day and age, the poor girl had an ectoipic pregnancy, so not only has to recover from major surgery but also lost her baby. I'm not sure what more i can do. I don't want to kick up too much fuss in case she ends up losing her job.

having to have a tooth out that was perfectly capable of being saved, because I don't have a spare £300 for a root canal.

And I'm not allowed to eat anything hot or chewy for the next few days. What does that leave? Cold porridge? What do I take to work when I go back in tomorrow?

Project management is common sense.

I f**king hate it when people study it with any sort of intent - it's all bullshit! All of it!

Good project managers understand the work that's involved, and use their years of experience (which they should have, being managers and all that), and understand the people they work with and speak to them in plain english in order to guide them properly. They've also naturally evolved into this role.

Bad project managers read bullshit books on how to be good managers, go to seminars by other bad project managers about nothing of worth, schedule entire meetings with like-minded twats dedicated to f**k all, and the only thing they dedicate themselves to learning is a load of bullshit phrases and terms in an effort to disguise the fact they don't have a f**king clue. They've sought out a role in management in order to dodge what they consider to be work.

Too many bad project managers. Must kill.

I like this statement about PRINCE2 in my course literature: 'Whilst the processes of PRINCE2 could all be considered to just be elements of good project management, the difference is the level of structure and documentation that is required'
