Part of a tutor's job is to help people grow and move forward. That responsibility shouldn't end when they complete the course they are on that you are delivering.

I always say to students at the end of a course "Congratuations you've passed but big deal this shouldn't be the end of your journey. It's just a stage along the way. What matters is what you do with your learning from now on."

You can't encourage people to move on and really make a difference and then wash your hands of any responsibility to help them.

Fcuking 'puters - which quite coincidentally also appears to be something that I've excelled at just lately it seems :lol::ph34r:

Whilst b*ggering around playing the well known 'game' of hard drive switcheroo and other 'fun' stuff with several PCs for way too long without any significant amount of sleep ... I appear to have somehow 'mislaid' several TB of RAID array data along the way [insert psycho music here] :O:o:O

Ooooops and all that :( There's still around another 4 nail-biting hours to go before I find out whether anything more than just a vague memory of donkeys years of archive stuff various will ever appear on a hard drive near me again anytime soon. The poxy system had better be recovering and rebuilding something significantly better than just an empty drive after poncing around for most of the bl**dy day allegedly trying to that's for sure or it's highly likely to get repeatedly bashed with a very big stick sometime around 0500 hours for it's (lack of) efforts !

begin

 for count:= 1 to very_big_number do

  writeln('I will not try to save £50 and/or a couple of days time

           by trying to be [allegedly ] clever in future');

end

[/code]

... wanders off to stand in the naughty corner wearing the pointy hat to think about what he's done saddunce.gif
