I decided to come home from travelling at xmas,,, and seen as the government had been pestering me last year to do jury service, I told them I was available to do it in January, sure enough I got a letter summoning me to court on the 24th January. Fine I thought, will be all over in 2 weeks, then I can head back to OZ. No such luck... on my second to last day of jury service I called selected for a case that is expected to last 6 weeks. Summer in Syndey will be over by the time I get back there... :(

I'm in a Beatles mood at the moment, so thought i would read some customer reviews of the albums on itunes while i listened. Well, blow me if every other person on there didnt complain that the albums were overpriced. What? The Beatles, who left behind the most astonishing artistic legacy the world has ever seen, or heard, overpriced at £11 a pop? People pay £50 for a pair of jeans, £15 for a new Simon Pegg film, £5 for a frigging Burger King and they get hot under the collar because they are being asked to part with a paltry £11 to be given a lifetime of ecstasy by the greatest band of all time???!! The mind boggles, it really does.

Awkward moments. Like today when I had to go and see someone in our family who I hardly know's baby. I didn't have a clue what to say, I think I said "Congratulations" about 5 times and the rest of the time I just stood there whilst my mum was asking every fact there is to know about a baby. It was really bad.
