I guess we just get given tickets to a better class of festival.:(

Back on topic. I came home from work tonight to find the local free paper once again sticking out of my letterbox. I don't know if anyone has noticed but it's f**kING COLD! So basically that's been jammed wide open since the paper was delivered at god knows what f**king time and I've been paying TO HEAT THE f**kING STREET! (I'm starting to sound like my dad! :P ) Every bloody week this happens and I took a short stroll down the road and saw plenty more sticking out too, this kid is certainly doing his bit for global warming. I'm assuming it's the same one I've screamed at before for the same thing and it didn't make a blind bit of difference. I've tried finding out who to contact about deliveries with no luck but this time I'm on a mission. :P

Shit man that's crap! It's thanks to them that I've got draught proofing, extra loft insulation, cavity wall insulation and a combi condensing boiler . All free. :P

All this was a few years ago and I've heard they've had problems recently, have you searched around for ways to complain or get priority (probably a daft question)? Are there groups that can represent your case?

Another thing: floods.

To be specific, reporting of floods in the news.

Some water f**ks a few people's carpets and the like and then its blanket coverage on every channel for weeks. I mean, does anyone really give a shit?! And its always the same story involving a reporter stood in a glorified puddle introducing pre-recorded footage of some wifey bint pointing at lino and watermarks on the wall.

And then two months later they come back for the non-story of insurance companies not paying out and the wifey bint again pointing at lino and rolled up carpets in the back garden.

And then it all happens again a year later and residents are back on the tele complaining that its happened again and they coincidently live next to a river, but its never occured to them do what the clever c**t who lived there before them did and find some mug and flog them a house built on a flood plane.

I f**king hate the fact that people feel devastated that they can't go on their decadent tropical holiday because of the weather. Well boo f**king hoo. Some of us can't afford one holiday you pretentious f**kwits!! Also some of us don't have toes and have lost the feeling in their fingers due to the weather. Do I care about you not going on holiday. You will have to slum it in the UK with the riff raff!

"My Christmas is ruined" they cry. No your Christmas is ruined if you get up in the morning to find santa has buggered the puppy you asked for and nicked your box of After Eights.

I got in touch with my MP last year and he sorted the grant for me. It was supposed to be sorted by the spring but the guy never turned up for appointments to measure up, and then when we hit July I rang asking wtf was happening and was told that as my claim was over a year old I would have to reclaim. Got my MP on it again, but the best they can do is effing March apparently to fit it.

this does my head in aswell. i don't mind putting money in if it's forsomeone i'm pally with. but i hate being asked to put money in for people i've never f**king spoke to, and then people act like you're being stingy if you don't put anyhting in, when everyone knows that my team earn the least money so they should be a bit more sensitive, especially at christmas.

Cost differences would depend on many things but mainly the thermal loss for the house and the type of heating in place. A well insulated place with a heat system that allows for good air circulation would retain the heat well, and the system would not take long to bring the house to a comfortable temperature and may well be cheaper. Inefficient systems are often best left ticking over all the time.

For me I am in an end terrace Victorian house with no f**king heating for over a year except for 2 oil filled poratable radiators that cost me over 45 quid a week to run just to heat 2 rooms :P f**king warmfront and their f**king grant work :P 18 months I have been waiting.

I dont get the issue with having your heating come on a little before you get home. Most houses are insulated enough to keep a certain amoutn of heat in and your only going to have your heating on for say 3 hours so dose it matter if those 3 hours are 5-8 or 6-9... Nearly everyone has their heating set to come on a little bit before they get back from work thats why they have heaters.

(Actully that said I dont but its just because I havent bothered to sort it out and were stingy about heating in my house its not an inviromental thing).
