saratink
When buying a car, say its 7 grand, you can try and knock them down 500 quid, and if that don't work, then at least a couple of hundred off
sifi
Love it... My dad did that in the late 80's in Dixons over a video recorder... I died a death... He did actually get a £10 off though Think it was the display model though Edited August 24, 2010 by sifimaster
philipsteak
Actually, shops like Currys, Dixons etc are somewhere were I would defo try and get some money off - I think because of the slump certainly, they were looking to get things moving and would give you decent discounts or deals at the time. I don't know what kind of hotel Phillipsteak works in, but I certainly have got a money off when I stayed at the Grovesnor on Park Lane in London when just walking off the street looking for a room before now. Think it was £20 plus breakfast total discount, or something like that, after a gig at Hyde Park and we didn't fancy the trek home. Got fifty euros off when buying wife christmas present of necklace at my mum's favourite jewellers in Cyprus at Christmas, plus my dad's cufflinks thrown in too, total bill 250 euros instead off three fifty. Don't ask - don't get.
sifi
True. But when I've said no, the price is what it is, and they keep going (which quite a lot do), then it gets really annoying.
Pogues Mcgogues
I tried to haggle with the Green police at Glastonbury this year for one of their ash trays. They shook my pockets and I was like "ahhh f**k"! I got 25p off what turned out to be a glorified peice of cardboard. I think they ended up getting the better of me! jump
I'm thinking about throwing my computer at someone at work, some twat of an arsehole who's paid over £80k+ a year sent me a shitty email going "blah, blah, blah I can't do this report my team does for me and it's your fault for expecting it me to do it" so I write a overly nice email (to avoid me calling him a useless c**t) back explaining what he needs to do and ultimately it's his responsibility and not his team's so it needs to get done and sends back "That's not very helpful!" How the f**k do these people get so far in life?

markeee
A little thing, or little to some..it bugs me how so many drivers don't bother to indicate or drive in the correct lanes it's dangerous for both pedestrians/cyclists and other drivers!!! minute5072
My boss got hit by one of them, broke his elbow and ended up having an op on it. and this morning as i was walking accross bishopsgate using a pedestrian crossing on green 3 cyclists came through and nearly sent me flying.
Ed209
That really pisses me off! when cyclists decide they'll just ignore the fact that the lights are at red and go flying through the crossing nearly running you down...c**ts!
RABun
Yup, I'm with everybody on this. Cyclist's who go through pedestrian crossings pisses me off no end. Is it just a london thing or is it everywhere? Cyclists are can be such self-righteous pricks. They think they're above the law just because they don't pollute. Well f**k you cyclists!! Barely a more satisfying sight than seeing a policeman pulling one over.
