With all these rumours of rather weak possible headliners it would be a great surprise if DL snagged RATM.

They're coming over sometime this year for a free show so could coincide (or subsidise ) with that.

They may have a £1million fee but then again they are the best live band out there (and of the last 20 years imo) Come on DL, surprise us!. Could be missed trick.

I'd always love to see RATM again.

I can see what you mean, with add some paid for shows to pay for the free show. Even though I think the free show will just be a little gig at Brixton or something.

They should play Milton Keynes Bowl or something

its not a bad shout actually as an outside bet for headliner. Cos isnt Andy Copping involved in the talks in organising this free gig? (remember him saying something about it on his twitter).....well all he'd have to do is persuade them to add an extra festival date if theyr already in the country at the time (thats if the free gig is june time?)

Tom was quoted as saying the show would be big enough to accommadate the whole of the UK so let's hope it is a big 'un. Limp Bizkit pulled off a huge free gig at Finsbury Park in 2003, was really good an all actually!.

would be quite funny if the knock on effect of this campaign to get rage to number one results in a ratm tour. The only thing better would be ratm playing on the free gig on xmas day 2010, can't see that happening though

in fairness, nobody knew about rage at T until the ticket announcement. not even a small rumour.

i don't think they'll be at download though unfortunately

Well a good few people knew before they were announced for TITP/Oxegen because Kaiser Chiefs put on there page that they would be playing before RATM at Oxegen before they were announced

Rage's website actualy put up the line-up a couple of hours before T did, it was quite funny. Geoff was well pissed off.
