rockinthecasbah
I actually like both KOL and Kasabian, and have seen both a few times, but those two headlining would be a contender for most painfully boring festival lineup of all time. j...rox
Don't think KOL should headline, they let me down big time at reading last year after being amazing at V08. So think we need a bit of a break from them to be honest. Would it surprise me... not one bit.
indie-rocknroll
While leaving the Arena last year, some tit behind us said who ever thought of signing a band to head line who only have one good song that everyone knows (he was in fact talking about Killers and Mr Brightside) as a fan of the Killers I was disgusted and we entered into some friendly banter but he really knew nothing about the band, their albums etc.. and only knew that at every club he went too they always played Mr Brightside. Now the shoe is on the other foot with Kings of Leon, the Sex on Fire song drives me insane with its over play and apart from that I only know On call, or Call me what ever it is called, I don't feel that they have enough material for a full head line set, I might be wrong but lets pray for Orbital in the tent instead so I can go in there and get totally twat eyed. brfcstar
Can't see KOL playing before Kasabian. To be honest, if thats the line-up can't see me going unless I win tickets. Both Kasabian & Prodigy have headlined the 2nd stage in recent years, have they really done that much to justify the move up to the main stage headline slot? (granted they've both had big albums, but they're not the biggest albums either have released) And both KOL & Stereophonics have played the 2nd headliner slot recently. I like all 4 of the main bands, just think for what V charges thats pretty weak... That would be a C- line-up, must try harder

danlen
I was dissapointed with KOL in 2008, thought they would be much better, but maybe that was because of the atmosphere (lack of it - chelmsford) if I had a choice of KOL and Prodigy, Prodigy would win everytime
j...rox
Kings in Staffs 08 were pretty awesome, but then i enjoyed the crowd all weekend, compared to lifeless Reading.
luckysalt
Kings of Leon have started going through the motions live now IMO But after a nice break they might be up for it again come V. I hope The Prodigy don't become this by the time V comes around, they've toured non-stop for ages, with the same tracks. Going on main stage to the kind of crowd V will get next year I worry that the atmosphere is gunna be lost, already in 2008 their performance was nowhere near the level of 2005 at V. It could be worse again I expect the Phonics to put in a great set of hits though and be a real crowd pleaser, and Kasabian are gunna want to leave a mark after they're gunna be headlining their first Major English festival. I hope that with Prodigy and Kasabian both being English acts back to back and at the top of their game they'll be trying to outperform each other and blow each other off the stage. Could be interesting. Theres no mistaking in those four acts, V have picked four of the most constantly great live performers. And they're all mega popular. Its underwhelming because its nothing different for V, but it should be a great experience Im interested to see who plays where else Pendulum could headline the Arena tent or be on main stage Prodigy day, they won't be on 4 music again after subheadlining it last year Editors I think will headline 4 music stage or could be 3rd/4th on main Florence will probably be high on 4 music VV Brown I think will be low on one on the outdoor stages, maybe open main Lady GaGa will be high 4 music as has been said in her thread, think she might headline it, could play high main stage White Lies will be high 4 music or 4th-6th main stage Other additions Id expect are Girls Aloud and Alexandra Burke obviously form the intial post and I'd expect some from the usual suspects of Ian Brown, Faithless, Amy Winehouse, The Charlatans, Groove Armada, The Zutons, Travis [or Fran Heeley solo- as he has an album out], Kula Shaker, Manics, Primnal Scream, The Kooks If they got sum from that lot, it could be a very solid line up
