NME has them down as headliners

no they don't.

NME says (after mentioning Green Day in regard to TitP):-

"Billie Joe's band could also be heading up R&L, while Blink 182, who are booked for German gigs the week before, are also strong contenders for the August bash - as are My Chem Romance".

The only one of the bands mentioned it suggests as possibly headlining is GD.

Let's hope that comes true only GD headlining. The other two are relatively big but there are deffo bands out there id prefer 2 do it. Also even if 2 of the three were to headline its a bit samey, I'm not sure it would happen they still need an indie band there and I think something different. Two heavier bands on the other day of similar size would be good.

I thought they booked all 3 headliners last year :S

I suspect such comments are about as accurate as the claims by Michael Eavis to have booked bands for Glastonbury a year in advance when he hasn't (as later comments from him get to show).

I reckon it's more likely that a verbal arrangement has been made at that time which may or may not get firmed up into a solid booking at a later date.

Having said that, from what I heard about this time last year, it's quite likely that Green Day have been pretty much firmly booked since this time last year.
