Blink-182 drop Reading And Leeds Festivals hint

Band say they'll be playing European festivals in August

Blink-182 have dropped a hint that they may be appearing at the Reading And Leeds Festivals this August.

Drummer Travis Barker told MTV News that the rockers would be traveling through Europe for festival appearances during August – with the band already rumoured to be playing a slot at the UK dual event.

"We go to Europe in August for all the festivals... we do, like, six weeks out there, and then our album will come out probably early next year," he explained.

But Sonisphere and V Festival also take place in August.

Blink look as if they playing, but where headline or sub-headliners?

During the height of there commercial success they were sub-headliners to Linkin Park in 2003 at R/L, and only managed to co-headlined the Pop Disaster Tour with Green Day in 2002.

Looks like they selling out arenas in US since they reformed, with support from Fall Out Boy, The All-American Rejects, Asher Roth, Weezer, and Taking Back Sunday

I think it can be taken as a 'gimme' for Blink 182 to headline with MCR second now. Green Day on Sunday and someone else (Guns N Roses is my gut) for the other games. Pretty big headliners but I expect the other high mainstage slots to go to people like lostprophets, Paramore, Biffy Clyro, Dizzeee Rascal and whatever indie band is getting a huge marketing budget at the moment.

That last headliner is what is eluding me - and the lack of indie. Indie seems to be on the way out though so maybe it makes sense 0_o.
