The article will certainly say that V has Kasabian & KoL, and that Download has TCV.

eFestivals
T IN THE PARK, possibly OXYGEN: Muse, Green Day unless things have changed (and they might have, things do change), I believe they've got it wrong about Muse - info passed to me several weeks before the Wembley shows were announced (which included info on them playing those Wembley shows) said that they'd be announcing a stadium show (or perhaps two) in Scotland for around the same sort of time. My guess from that is that they'd play what's now called The Edge Festival but which used to be called T on the Fringe in late August. anothernumber
From what I can make out, it says Green Day for T in the park and then says something like 'Billie Joe's band could also be heading up Reading and Leeds'. Then it mentions Blink and MCR and I think Soundgarden are in the paragraph about sonisphere. If those are the 3 headliners I wouldn't be very happy. moz4pm
anyone read it yet, i'm in thailand so someone get posting
eFestivals
Yep. I'm convinced that the majority of the article is guesswork (tho probably well-informed guesswork), and that the only fests that they actually know something about for certain are Download (tho perhaps only TCV for that) and V Fest. ivan
Oh dear KOL are following Foo's and Killlers as an overkill band ! I was hoping we would not see back until 2011 , I love em to bits but too much of a good thing. Are they gonna headline Oxygen for 3rd year running ? thomasowen
The wording in the paper is prety uncertain. Greenday 'could' be making an apearance, Blink are 'possible' and My Chemical Romance could also be there. If they do have info you can tell they aren't 100% but I'd still go with those three. jordanuk90
I still don't think KOL won't be playing any of the UK festivals in 2010 I think NME could be very wrong although rumours are quite strong for TCV for Download and R&L Suprising that Greenday aren't there for R&L with how the rumours are floating round No-one seems to make their mind up on Soundgarden though

I happen to know that the writer of that piece isn't certain that the acts named are defo playing. It's little more than guesswork.

eFestivals
Yep, anyone who believes that NME arern't merely guessing even if it could be a slightly educated guess is a fool. you say that, but I also happen to know the writer considers himself to be on the money with the Download acts he names (but only those ones from the whole thing). Whether he is or not I'm not entirely sure. A part of the problem with discussions of these things is that so many people have failed to correctly read what he's actually written. jordanuk90
I was talking purely about the Reading and Leeds rumours but I know what you mean, there are alot of could be and perhaps, absolutely nothing definate but some people take it as gospel.
