Wickerman 2010

Hiya, me and a friend are attending the Wicker Man for the first time this year, yay! Can I ask if its worth paying extra for toilets? And how far the campsite is from the car park? Only I remember massive treks from car park to campsite at the bigger festivals and I want to know if I can be bothered carrying a towel so I can get a shower ;) Does anybody know if camping stoves are allowed? And finally, if anyone is going from Edinburgh or West Lothian and needs a lift, I may be able to fit a couple of people in my car (I would say 2 max). Looking forward to seeing everyone there!

I had down & dirty passes last year but only used the loos once. There were queues much of the time and tbh I found the portaloos every bit as clean if not cleaner! The queues for the showers in the morning are LOOOOONNGGGG! So this year I'll be keeping my money and smelling horrible like everyone else!

As for stoves, a word of warning. Some people had their gas cannisters removed last year and were told only butane cannisters were allowed. Luckily thats what I use! I'm planning on taking a BBQ and charcoal again this year too :)

I see on the map there is a bit for bar tokens, i'm guessing this means you need to buy tokens first for getting drink (TITP style)? Anyone know how much they will be and do they sell cider? (hopefully not Blackthorn!)

I take it your not allowed to carry drink into the arena, are they quite strict with their searching?

Time of work sorted, Tickets bought.

Just got to get the tent and the supplies sorted and I'll see you all again at the efest camp.

Jane, tell willie that ARGYLL will be well represented again at WICKERMAN.

Don't forget the vodka jellies.

See you all in a fortnight.

Wickerman Efest Camp 2010 Everyone Welcome

If anyone wants to come and join in camp Efest at this years festie this is the place to add your name in the absense of the subforum! Some of us have met before but don't let that put you off. We're a friendly bunch!

There is added security of camping in a group as there are often people in camp. It also makes it easy to find a friendly face while bimbling about the site or gives lots of options of folk to head to see bands with.

Taking names from this thread so far as well as a few names of those working the fest who will be camping with us (they're too busy glastobating at present to post in here!)

treacle + wullie72

Leprekorn + michala + mike

rollergirl + mini rollergirl

llcoolphil

OLF

swieve + Kim

titp

BenchBudda

muckyg +1

glastomongrel2008 + naomini

If you want to add your name please copy and paste this whole post.

Hi, was wondering are stage times usually announced in advance

Main concern is do they usually have the headliners on the different stages at different times?

ie. Is it likely that OCS & Charlatans will be on at the same time as Undertones & Buzzcocks?

The last time I was there (2008) the Scooter Tent and Mainstage headliners were on at about the same time though the mainstage ran about 15 mins longer so you could catch the end of the mainstage after the Scooter tent finished. I think it likely that is still the case
