I'd be very surprised if they headlined R/L, but saying that, I can't see them headlining Coachella and not playing any British festivals. Maybe Glastonbury will get them though?

I quite like the single, not quite as good as the lead singles usually are from them but enjoyable all the same.

After all the talk of Green Day, Blink and MCR this is certainly a more welcome rumour for me.

[This is based on IOW have only added on twitter [EDIT - I forgot to add on twitter] in the last few months artists who are playing their festival and Gorillaz, they're the only act thats been added recently who haven't been announced to play IOW2010, could just be a weird conincidence]

Plus with Pink as the sub headliner, I can't see it being an act like The Stones or Police type of act like they've had as Sunday headliner before but if they got Gorillaz on an exclusive, could be a big headliner for them, and Pink underneath would fit perfectly

That sounds quite likely unfortunately. IOW always seems to have 1 or 2 bands I always want to see but can't justify the money for the ticket as the rest of the line-up is usually rubbish.

Yeah it's annoying and it's like it every year, although I'll be quite happy not to see Vampire Weekend again. I really, really hope Blondie turn up at Reading or Glastonbury. Or No Doubt.

It would be amazing if Gorrilaz played but I can't see it happening. The organisers need to book an act with wow factor, I can't remember the last time they booked a headliner that made people really impressed.

I presume because its a headline slot at a festival [coachella] they won't be appearing in the dark as shadowy figures but be seen instead.
