Sam Lanham
I don't know about you but I think that the rumours going round for R+L are worse than Download? How did that happen? This is what I wanna see Main: Greenday, Foo Fighters, Muse Blink 182, MCR, Linkin Park NME: Soundgarden, All American Rejects, James Morrison? Other Bands - Electric Six, Jet, Kid Rock, KISS, Korn, Limp Bizkit, Nickelback and what about Pendulum and Prodigy again? Who do you want to see? thomasowen
1) AC/DC, Pearl Jam, Van Halen or Metallica are rumoured for Download (I bet there will there will be a third small headliner) - in my books that is one great set. 2) My Chemical romance, Foo Fighters, Blink, Green Day etc is not thinking outside the box as they are all strongly rumoured. 3) Who do I want to see? Personaly I would be happy with Blink 182, Green Day and The Strokes. Out of the box I would like The Stone Roses to reform or some pop eg Blondie, Meat Loaf or Gorrilaz, Edited January 24, 2010 by thomasowen

Messiah Jason
I definatly agree the rumoured headliners are no good. I'd love to see Muse of the Foo's but I doubt both. Want to see Gorillaz, Beastie Boys, Daft Punk, REM, The Cure, Soundgarden or SOAD but doubt they'll be any of them As for bands that won't headline I'd like to see Sonic Youth, Pavement, Weezer, Blondie, No Doubt, Nick Cave, Hole, Ash, Feeder, Mew, Beck or the Manics and I'm hopeful for atleast a couple of those
TomDB
Would so love Muse but with shows like 10 days after R&L at Wembley and Lancs CCC i can't see them playing, plus they're a dead cert for Glasto Realistically i'd love: Green Day, Kasabian & (any rocky headliner really but:) Soundgarden - Not too out of the box is it? Matticus
this is my idea for the friday, they wont do it obviously, but it would acually sell a ton of tickets, and is just quality, but its too good so FR would probably book some shite instead. Friday The Cure Pixies Weezer With some NME hype band headlining the NME stage for the kiddys
kev1664
Headline Beastie boys, cypress hill, Rage against the machine again, pearl jam, linkin park. Other than headline Dinosaur jr, MGMT, Biffy Clyro, Manchester Orchestra, Pendulum, TCV, slipknot, alkaline trio, ASH, Nine black alps, the offspring, stone sour. Lots more but Ive had a mind blank! Fest
You complain that the rumours are bad and then suggest Nickelback, Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, MCR, Jet... o-kay!
JBarbour
headline gorillaz, REM, green day subheadline them crooked vultures, the strokes, blink else where plan b, biffy, deadmau5, the bravery, mr hudson, mumford & sons is it me or does anyone else think rumours are slow this year? are festival republic staff and band contacts keeping there mouths shut this year?its only about 2 months before announcement Edited January 24, 2010 by craigb
gr4h4m
Worse than Download? Not sure what you mean really seing as Download look to have AC/DC, Metallica & a 3rd out of Pearl Jam, Soundgarden or Van Halen. DL look to have the best headliners this year. To be fair this is probably due to it being the 30th anniversary of MOR but believe me, R&L would cream to snag AC/DC.
thomasowen
doubt it'll be metallica more like ACDC, soundgarden and van halen which is weaker than last year - the only exception been ACDC. Download gets worse every year and has been going downhill since 2008

gr4h4m
I thought Download's lineup last year was their best yet and this year's has the potential to be even better.
gr4h4m
Couldn't be more wrong. It gets stronger every year if anything.
gr4h4m
So you thought 2009 was bad, therefore its going down hill? That seems a bit extreme.

Lithium05
comes to opinions, slipknot prior to last year were my favourite band and I even didn't think they were big enough to headline. I went off them purely down to the fact their live shows have become so boring and predictable and the fact that corey's voice is finished and he can't do the screaming anymore. Sam Lanham
Take out KISS, Nickelback, Kid Rock and Limp (sigh) Bizkit and I WOULD KILL 2 B THERE! You get the picture
rexclark
I really have no clue as to who'll be playing this year, at least it's keeping it exciting.
