RIP has sold out

It's a tough situation for the organisers. Download is (in my opinion) the best festival in the UK because of the open lines of communication between the organisers & the fans. However, everyone knew that 2010 was gonna be a big year, fans have been asking for AC/DC every year & they've finally got them. The AC/DC booking was always going to increase demand dramatically & the signs were there when the news of the capacity increase was announced.

There's no real argument that 'real fans' (I hate that term, it's bollocks) are missing out due to the demand from AC/DC fans as early bird tickets were on sale for ages & cheaper so the people who attend every year were more than catered for. The people who wait to review the line-up &* rumours are in the same situation as everyone else.

I still firmly believe the quality of service, lack of bar ques etc will be the same, they will have increased all of this in relation to the increase in capacity.

got the call, tickets sorted :P my reasoning was half in that i couldn't decide on download last year, ended up not going and felt sick watching faith no more tear the stage apart, and ac/dc are enough to make the plunge into the relatively unknown. Also it seems to be smashing weather every year which is always good at a festival!

Well since I won't have the ticket money until at least mid Feb unless my friend can lend me £90 I've NO CHANCE of getting them til March - so I'm more than a little worried, though I asked Dog on Twitter and he has said that he doesn't expect it to have sold out before then. I'm still worried!!!
