She'd shoot off, the mental state she's in at the moment. She's not chipped, she's never really been interested in going out and getting lost before, she's always been a house cat. Now I can see the folly in not getting her done. We've already got her a collar with one of those info cylinder things in. She used to have one years ago, but she kept losing it and we got tired of replacing it. If it's not too traumatic I might get her chipped. This is a cat that has to be gassed to have blood taken, mind. She really does not like being handled.

Wonder if she'd take to a lead?

My Dog Milosovich --he`s quicker than a Lib-Dem changing policies--and if the back door opens..he`s out quicker than George Micheal. If the gate is left open--he`s away...and he pelts off like blazes..and is difficult to get back. Its proving difficult to teach him to come to call.

Anyway, point is--he is chipped now, so if he does get away..I got good chance of getting him back.

Is it traumatic? Well---chipping is done with a little gun sort of device which shoots a tiny chip into the animal (usually behind the neck).

Of course the animal feels it--but really--its nowt.

Some cats of course are buggers...so it could be bagged up to prevent accidents.

Honestly... I`d get it done--if yer on the sausage or summat... sometimes its free... it is up here.

Cats? On leads? I`d never respect anybody who took anything other than a dog out on a lead. Gerraway lass.

can anyone suggest a solution to this problem? Our cat sleeps on our beds, and since the last bout of fits she seems to have become incontinent when she's sleeping - I suspect a series of petit-mals, as I witnessed an episode last night - she didn't go into a full-fledged paw-thrashing fit, but she was making horrible choking sort of noises and was twitching.

My husband now wants to banish her to the hallway, but I think that would be denying her comfort and company when she needs it most.

As I think it's too late to provide alternative bedding for her - she has one of those cat nest things and has never used it - we need to protect our beds etc.

Anyone know of good value mattress and duvet protectors?

The dog I'm walking at the moment for my nextdoor neighbours- Kia, is adorable. She's so obedient aswell, and old. If you're in a park with a dog and another dog walks past most dogs go absolutely skits, but she doesn't. Although the other week a huge great dane went up to her and she gave it a little growl but that was it.

Wish I could have a dog like that.

When a pet hamster dies, is it ok to dispose of it by putting it in a box, and then putting said box in the rubbish bin?

Have I asked this before?
