My beautiful cat is off on holiday as I couldnt make my mind up about my weekend plans!

While the rents are gallivanting around Prague and with Applefest on tomorrow near Lewes, it was considered the best option to put the cat away in case I ended up staying out all weekend.

Luckily she gets super pampered at her kitty hotel and really doesnt give a damn where she sleeps :D AND they have bed warmers too. Luxury!

Sorted out a picture finally...

  • 4 weeks later...

My poor old cat's gone missing. She ran out this morning and she's nowhere to be found. This is highly unusual for her, she's never out for more than an hour and she's usually on our front step.

She's on phenobarbitone to control fits - if she comes off it suddenly, it triggers more severe fits.

It's not looking good. :(

Non-animal lovers, cant understand how upsetting this sort of thing is eh.

Cats are queer f**kers when it comes to "coming back" and sometimes ours used to be gone for days...so even though it might be a house cat.. cats are better at "surviving" than dogs.

Lots more dogs are "found" and brought to the clinic than cats.

Hope she is microchipped!

keep us informed.

btw. how -1d you for that post??? wtf.

Great, great news. We phoned both our local vets and both had reported sightings of a cat matching her description in the same area. One couldn't take her in because of her own cats, but she had fed her. The other had kept her overnight and brought her round for us to identify.

So she's back!

Not very happily, because she'd missed 2 doses of phenobarbitone, so after we fed her we had to dose her up straight away.

But I'm so glad I live where I do, where people get involved.

Oh, Tarantula update:

I have a Brachypelma Smithi (juvenille), a Grammostola Pulchra (sub-adult), a Grammostola Pulchrips (spiderling), a Chromatapelma Cyaneopubescens (spiderling), and a currently AWOL H. Gigas (Juvenille).

The spiderlings have shaed there skin between 3 and 5 times each now. They're getting big. If someone can tell me how to upload photos in a simple manner I'll chuck some up here.
