I don't think it's the worst line-up yet persay, rather just the most obvious / lazy one so far. Everyone is arguing that there are still people to be announced and that's fair enough but we have our headliners. Fatboy Slim (3rd year in 5), half of Leftfield and The Strokes. I'd love to see The Strokes like but tbh, I go to Rockness for the dance music. Any more traditional acts are a bonus.

I think people new to the festival will love the line-up. Like I say, I don't think it's necessarily a bad set of acts, just predictable and lazy. The 'Rotation of Acts' thread speaks volumes.

Ok Fatboy has played 3 times, but he's on the Friday night this time, what a way to get the festival started. Only problem being I will probably get even more ripped than usual on the first night (if that is possible!). Leftfield are a major coup...I would like to see more techno acts as well, hopefully they have something along the lines of the Soma tent like last year...a Kompakt, Cocoon or Bpitch Control tent would be superb, or a Drumcode Tent (Adam beyer's label) would also be be great!

The line-up is good so far, LCD Soundsystem would be a good addition!

bar leftfeild there is nobody original and unexpected. poor attempt so far in my eyes. rockness is becoming more and more every year just annie mac, soulwax and friends playing in a feild. too predictable, neeeed to get better acts if rockness wants to compete with other festivals. just me or????

Worst line up yet?

Hell no!

I've always had the attitude a festival/holiday/life is what you make it! :P Turning up to any festival with a tainted attitude isn't going to add to your enjoyment. So if you're at this years Rockness f**king miserable: reminiscing of how much better you thought the previous year was, sulking about a lineup or just being a miserable c**t in general, it's more you're fault than anyone elses!

how can you pass judgment until you've 'been there and done that' and seen the acts on the day

I'm gonna be on the sauce, staggering back and forth from stage to stage seeing as much as I can.. making the most of it! :P

I can't wait- the lineup is really good so far and is what, a small taste of what will be announced over the coming months! The only thing to make it complete is guaranteed scorching weather haha! :P

I actually think that this year's line up is the strongest yet in terms of depth.

The only main act im disappointed with is Fatboy but at the same time i can appreciate why many folk still want to see him.

well if you looked at the lineup youd see that anybody that has even been to one rockness has seen 50% on the line-up already, so as for fatboy slim and annie mac etc. pretty sure i can pass judgement on them as i have as you put it 'been there, done that' almost got the t-shirt too theybe been here that many times.

I would hardly call them lousy!!! Bearing in mind the festival has been done only 4 times and moving onto a fifth, successful one. During a recession I might add, where other festivals have had to sit back till we are out of it, Connect for example and they had the Beastie Boys and Bjork in its first couple years FFS. Rockness is firmly planted on the festival map as one of the big boys now and I honestly think that all the acts who have played Rockness before e.g. Soulwax/2ManyDJ's are ASKING to come back here to play for 1. help Jim King make Rockness a monster (excuse the pun) festival and 2. because they fu*king love it!!

They are adding so called 'lousy' bands because they want to reach out to a particular group without getting in over their heads and that is an outstanding business tactic from Jim King.

Long live Rockness!!!
