How come non students have been buying these tickets? Is it really worth the risk? The O/P seems to cover it:

If your a student, and you have valid student identification then you can get a weekend ticket for £139 + Free transport to the festival.

what a joke.

How didnt the people at rockness manage to see that people would just be telling people ' Stick these codes in for cheap ticketS ' for there well what ever they get for doing this.

This should have been easy to predict

I for one was ensuring folk needed student ID.

It says it clearly on my facebook group for it. Besides, if its called "Student Ambassadors" wouldn't people who arn't students think to ask whether they can use it?

Obviously, like everything to do with gigs (under 14s etc) people will take the risk. Which I wouldn't recommend!

I do agree with that.

However, there are terms and conditions found at the source of the codes. (mine is my facebook group). I haven't checked all the other groups but I'm pretty sure the ones I've seen have the same information. We were told via email and in block capitals to ensure we communicate the fact that you need to be a student to get the deal.

aye and they can have part time jobs. when i was 17 and working pretty much full time (30-35 hours a week), my student pals had more money than i did through bursaries/loans and part time jobs.

a festival is not a neccesity, if people want to go they can find the money themselves. i don't see why students deserve a discount more than anyone else.
