Theboypez
I reckon if you get to the gate and have a student ticket and no student ID then you'll get charged the extra to upgrade to a full price ticket
Poleski
Apply for a course to become a student, thus being able to prove you are a student when/if asked for ID. It was a joke. Never mind. *bangs head against wall*

irons
Personally if I had one of these tickets, and never got a response I would be off to Trading Standards and investigating a claim of false advertising
Paul ™
I'll be doing that. I should be contacting Ticketmaster soon about a change of address and I'll ask them why they didn't state in their terms and conditions about this. If they weren't informed about it from Rockness I'm off to Trading Standards. A claim for false advertising is the way to go.
irons
Any joy mate? I know another couple people with these who are waiting on an update from the organisers before taking it the next step
irons
I've just noticed something else. Ticketmaster allows student ambassadors to buy 6 tickets. I take it they will have the name printed on the ticket for ID purposes. So they're going to allow 5 people in when the names don't match with their student ID? At least T warns you against that to stop touting, this is encouraging it. Thou I doubt Rockness will sellout as such.

Jim King
hi guys with reference to the misunderstanding about the student ticket offer. the student ticket offer is for students who hold student ID. its not an offer for non students. Each ticket will say on it that its a student ticket and that ID must be presented so you cant buy 6 tickets and then only show 1 ID card. all 6 ticket holders will have to show their own ID card when the ticket is scanned. we've asked ticketmaster to change the wording on the purchase page and hopefully they'll have this sorted on monday so this removes any confusion at point of purchase and we'll also make it more visible on our own website etc. i think we have a really small number people who this has affected and its a really small fraction of the people who've purchased student tickets to the show. anyway i'm having the emails sent to me on monday and i'll go through them all then but pls let me know if you know of any others and we'll contact them and arrange to sort it out. thanks for making us aware of the problem. regards jim

irons
I've not heard from Rockness about this yet. I doubt I'll go now, this has peed me off no end. Luckily I took out the insurance, so will probably just cash that in. Edited March 28, 2010 by irons
