Hey am I able to buy tickets for the Friday alone or are you only able to buy weekend ones?

I'd like to catch them crooked vultures and Acdc then get a bus back to Glasgow overnight, can't seem to find day tickets though and national express only return on the Monday! Arrrgh.

Yeah, we're in a similar position - we'd like to buy tickets for Saturday to see RATM, as we really wanna see them but we haven't got the cash to buy weekend tickets! But it looks as if day tickets usually don't go on sale until early May time - and I guess that, if they can sell out the festival without selling day tickets, they may do that! :P I'd have thought that it would be profitable for the organisers to sell a few day tickets, but you never know do you?

As Bekimo said...How well weekend tickets sell will determine whether any day tickets get released. The capacity increase this year would suggest day tickets should become available but I have my reservations: -

AC/DC tickets were going for a fortune on Ebay & from touts when they toured. The Manchester gig had groups of people from all over the world (Argentina, Brazil & USA) that had travelled to see them. Older bands have older fans with much more disposable income. I'd expect a large foreign contingent this year.

Same applies for people who travelled to Hyde Park (some of my mates went) to see Aerosmith last time. Return train - £50, Ticket - £55 (?), Hotel (£50 sharing an average room) + spends. Spend the bit extra & get to see AC/DC + loads more?

People may also buy a weekend ticket & just stay for the Friday? Again, still cheaper than the tout prices (£500) for an AC/DC ticket last year.

The people who lost out on the free RATM gig. If people were willing to travel to/from London & pay for a hotel etc for the free gig it's not going to cost a huge amount more to get a DL ticket & get to see a shitload more bands.

If they release some day tickets I imagine they'll be like rocking horse shit.
