kaosmark2
Absolutely ace, but this: is giving me what is probably false hope for October.

The Nal
New album of covers due in September - "Imitations" - followed by an acoustic tour. I'm Not the Loving Kind out now. A John Cale cover. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iLYISkdtTc4

Wooderson
Lanegan and Duke Garwood are the "support" on this tour. There will be a string section for the main part, where our guy will focus on the new record. Pretty much unmissible stuff folks.
Wooderson
I'm gonna take a lesson from my current Springsteen touring buzz and bring a huge "SKELETAL HISTORY" banner to the Dublin date.

The Nal
Anyone listened to "imitations" yet? Any good? Haven't yet no. Been away. Getting ok reviews which is all you could expect for a covers album really.
Ted Dansons Wig
Struggling with it meself. Some of the song selections seem a little perverse. Lonely Street? Autumn Leaves? Solitaire? Meh. And he moiders Brompton Oratory. Good version of You Only Live Twice tho
The Nal
Setlists seems like his year summed up. Few songs from the Black Pudding Album, few solo tunes and then some of the Imitations stuff. Roll on tonight!
BlackHole2006
Tickets on see tickets for £22.00 for the Islington Assembly Hall. Incredibly tempted by this, hopefully it doesn't sell out next time money comes in. EDIT: Just checked the link again, tickets not available. Fucksakes. The Nal
It sold out about a week or two after they went on sale months ago. I've got mine for tonight Enjoy. Really great gig. Word of advice. If you really want to hear it I'd advise to get up close/get there early etc. Its a stripped down sort of sound so if you're near the back or the bar (venue depending obviously) you may not enjoy it as much. Thanks. I was planning on getting in there as soon as possible as it's unallocated seating, I think this will be the 1st gig I've gone to that is in a church before. The cello and violin will sound incredible in a church! And his voice obviously. Doors were at 8. We got there at 8.20 and all the seats were well gone by then. jump
Yeah, a church should be a good setting, here's pics of the place. It's even got pews for the proper church experience,

Wooderson
Dunno what to make of the record after two listens. Sounds like something Ian McCullough should be onto his lawyer about in places. BTW Are Norman Records usually so "robust" in their record descriptions???? https://www.normanrecords.com/records/149443-mark-lanegan-phantom-radio-
zero000
Any recommendations for Lanegan's solo stuff? I love screaming trees, but I've only heard bubblegum and his gutter twins stuff since then.
