zeppelin
So, as far as I'm aware, the Green Day rumour was based upon that screen shot "taken" from the Green Day website showing festival dates 2010 (can't find it myself, would be greatfully appreciated if someone could dig it up for me). Well, did it not show T in the Park as one of the dates? Since titp have now announced your headliners surely that "screen shot" can be taken as false (as many thought it was) and therefore there is no reason to sugest they're playing R/L. Their stadium shows already made them very unlikely which is why I always doubted they'd play (although what do it know?). So therefore the only act nailed on, as far as I'm aware (again), are B182. unless of course Neil has other info, Green Day are not playing. stylishkids
Kasabian are supposed to be a co-headling and that 4th headliner has not been announced.
tomdsjames
Jay-Z is directly below Kasabian on that day and I think that he'll be classed as the co-headliner, they just haven't announced him as co-headliner. I can't seem him been 3rd down on the bill otherwise. And the Green Day rumour didn't come from the screen shot. Everyone could see that that was fake, it's come from efestivals saying they were asked to play this year and them thinking they'll be asked again for this year and various other sources such as the NME and the Daily Star so I don't think the rumours gone to bed now. Lithium05
I actually disagree with this thread. Despite my furious "Green Day won't play" one man campaign, this does give Reading a chance to use their favourite word to describe their headliners as this would make Green Day a "UK Festival Exclusive" a slight twist on their usual approach, but for the first time I have a glimmer of doubt in my stance.... however it is only a glimmer and I'm still 90% certain they won't be doing any festivals. SpiralD
I think that Kasabian are headlining as in playing last as far as I know.
VCK
I would presume Neil put Green Day up as a rumour based on other sources. He's not fickle enough to believe a mock poster, as we all know.

eFestivals
I doubt Neil would add someone as a strong rumour just because of a poster. correct. However, I've noticed they've been demoted to rumour so looking less likely. that's been done on the basis of info received. Am still trying to check out that info to a level where I'm properly confident in what I've been told. Bits and pieces are tending to confirm what I've heard, but none of those bits and pieces are solid enough in themselves to give me full confidence. ionicmoose
Neil, I don't know if you're allowed to say or not, but with Blink being pretty much a dead cert, do you know if they'll be headlining or not? Thanks

eFestivals
In other words you don't quite know yet.... Nope, nothing quite that vague.

eFestivals
I'm taking this means that you've heard from a reasonably trustworthy source that Green Day aren't playing, but you don't want to go all out and confirm this until you are certain. I've not heard anything specifically about Green Day. Stuff I'm hearing about other acts is suggesting that they're not playing tho. Other stuff I'm hearing is suggesting that there's 'issues' of some kind (I'm not going to go into details, I don't know how true it is) which is causing bands that might be expected to play to not want to play. eFestivals
Neil: I've been saying for months Green Day won't play because of their stadium shows? Am I your source? I love how some people have an overly large sense of their own importance.
