fair play to the R/L organisers,theyve kept us all guessing and if we're honest,none of us have a clue who the headliners are.

i'm sure by this time last year,radiohead,arctics and KOL were down as TBC on efestivals.

think maybe blink and mcr may co headline. and gorillaz and linnkin park, as i couldnt think of any other acts not playing any other uk festvals this year

I think its 99% certain blink will headline. As for the other 2, it could be anyone. It dosent have to be any of those bands tho, just because they are available. I am expecting a band this year that nobody has thought of.

- Soundgarden arent big enough to headline R/L. I cant see them being popular or well known to the usual R/L crowd.

- Arcade fire would be better as a sub

- MCR arent big enough to headline and would be a bad choice by FR as a headliner/it wouldnt go down well, especially after the reception they got last time they played.

- Guns N' Roses would be awful. Basicly Axl Rose and friends

- Jay Z wouldnt headline

- Rage only played 2 years ago so thats a no.

- R.E.M havent done anything spectacular to headline in recent years

- Linkin Park havent had anything out that anybody cares about for a while and arent really a flavour of the year band. (just because they were on some guys FAKE poster that some stupid websites thought was the real leaked one, dosent mean that all of a sudden they are a hot favorite to headline. Before that poster nobody mentioned them.)

- Couldnt see Morrissey headlining.

MCR - Huge band, there's every chance their new album will have no one doubting their draw as headliners, also they didn't get a bad reaction last time they played, that's a myth.

GNR - I agree but they are easily a big draw for the Reading crowd due to Sweet Child of Mine alone

Rage - headlining Download so that's a no

REM - They have, and even if they hadn't, they should still headline

Linkin Park - one of the biggest bands in the world (sadly) always a possibility to headline if not elsewhere

They didn't pack it out because noone at the festival bought tickets to see them. SG are, in my eyes, are easily big enough, and should headline. WIthout a doubt.

I really like Soundgarden but the demographic of R&L has changed and if you put them up against one of the bands of the momentb on the NME stage they would get a poor crowd. Poor as in probably the smalest of the weekend.
