There is a place in greeenfields (I think it was there) that does an awesome veggie breakfast. You sit on the floor, proper china and mugs ... and if you do the washing up for an hour you get breakie for free

Thats one good meal a day free for an hours work :P

Bear in mind, that if you're careless, you can eat just as badly at Glasto as you can at Reading. There's been people on here complaining that they had dodgy economy burgers etc. at Glastonbury.

Have a peek at what other people are carrying away from the food stalls. If it looks and smells good, it probably is.

An great tip for food - find the place with the longest queues (unless its a dodgy buger van next to one of the main stages)! Its like a real-life version of digg hits or facebook "likes". People wont queue up if the food is rubbish..

A couple times I've gone to get food, seen a stall with no queues next to a bunch of busy stalls and thought I couldn't be bothered queueing up I'll go for the one I can walk up to the counter. Such a big mistake but lesson learnt!

I am already excited for all the amazing food I'll be sampling this year!

OK so scrap the pot noodles. OK so on my mental list of foods are

- Pringles X2

- tinned fruit (for breakfast) X5 - with ring pulls I'm not pissing about with a tin opener

- some sweets X4 packs

- OJ X4

- a box of cereal for the energy 1 or 2

What I or my friends don't eat will be coming home. LOVE THE FARM. LEAVE NO TRACE

Oh and of course money,

I'm going to be taking a couple of boxes of cereal bars and probably some rice or something as I try and cook one meal myself. Will take something like pringles as well. The other thing I bring is coffee and coffee mate as I can't drink milk and shockingly few stalls do coffee with soya milk) My problem with food at Glastonbury is that I have a tiny stomach and all the food is far too much for me to eat! It's horrible as I'll spend £5/6 on a meal and then I can only eat half of it :P

Not sure how much I'll budget this year as I'm not really going to have any money due to having to find £340 to pay off the rent on my house for next uni year (oh and £400 deposit!), and as I will be on foot unless I manage to get a lift I won't have any cans of booze!

I suppose tea and coffee would be be great in the morning without having to trek for it, might have to pop down to your tent. I'll bring the milk :P

I enjoy uni a lot, it's just expensive business! I think I'll have to save my bursary money for festivalling as I'll have certain purchases to make for glade :P I do a degree in geography and technically have 13 hours of lectures a week!

The very large Manic Organic sign is also a giveaway. :P If you are coming from Pennards, you just need to get to the crossroads on the railway track where the main route into the Greenfields is and if you just look down the hill down to the Jazz Field...you cant miss it.

There's some very good juice bars and veggie food stalls on that strip coming up from the Jazz Field and opposite the Greenpeace Field.
