Lithium05
Doesn't mean anything. The Download website have been advertising Kiss tickets all year, but Kiss aren't playing Download.
Chavmeisterdeluxe
So advertise alternative gigs for bands who you're hoping will help sell out your festival? Hmm...
JBarbour
So. Which lineup? Edited March 1, 2010 by craigb
Lithium05
Fair point. Either way, let's hope Kasabian get announced for V. Don't need them stinking up the Reading/Leeds Line-up.
tomdsjames
I hope Green Day and Muse aren't headlining V. I'm already going to 2 festivals, I'll have no money left if I have to pay for V as well.
brfcstar
Wont be Muse and Green Day its gonna be Kasabian and Kings of Leon
JBarbour
As anything else been said about the info that may be coming Reading/Leeds way from efest? Is it eliminating rumours due to V line-up, and adding other rumours? IF green day and muse do get announced for V, that mean R/L gonna get Kasabian? luckysalt
found out The very first V Festival line-up announcement will be made today at 17:55 on Absolute Radio Just thought they might be hints. Download festival is owned and managed by Live Nation, its in there interest to advertise there other products Whereas the "V" represents the Virgin Group, green day/muse could be, and prob most likely just paid ads for gigs and albums
JBarbour
V doesn't represent the Virgin Group, although the festival was started by Richard Branson, he no longer has anything to do with it, it is a SJM festival. Who also organise concerts just like Live Nation do. The only ties V has to Virgin is the fact the name value was there so they chose to keep it as V rather than having to rebrand it, and the main sponsor is Virgin Media, just like Carling was the sponsor of Reading in the past, but Carling didn't book the acts

Fozzy_Bear
How have they stolen last years lineup? The acts on that poster of any relevance that played Leeds/Reading last year are Kings Of Leon, The Courteeners, Passion Pit, The Prodigy, Florence and White Lies. Stolen lineup? I hardly think so. To have only 6 bands playing that played Reading and Leeds is hardly worth a comparison
Desmond 48
La Roux headlined the Festival Republic stage & Chase & Status played the dance tent. that makes it 8 acts. considering they've only announced around 32 acts, almost a quarter of the bands played r&l last year. including one of the r&l headliners. obvsiously it was never going to be exactly the same but it just struck me initially there were a fair few bands there who also played r&l in 2009. Lithium05
I'd be very worried if one of v's rumoured headliners was blink182.
