I was wondering where Fontaines are headed. Lots of youngsters going crazy for them on the current tour (but still lots of older folk so very cross-generational appeal). We spoke to a couple if teenagers who think they're the coolest act around and will be getting bigger. They might blow up very quickly, they might not. The kids will decide, I guess.
I live smack bang in the middle of South London, they have some good lineups at Drumsheds but it's miles away so would a total mission to get home. Same story if you live west, south west or north west. Printworks was much better connected, for me the Windrush line to West Croydon and a bus straight home.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying they're the same size, Fontaines are clearly bigger, I was more showing we as a specific demographic of live music and festival fans always escalate bands far higher than they are, often based on our own rose tinted experiences with them.
We're all questioning and grumbling at Central Cee. Central Cee is absolutely equivalent size to Dave commercially, and if Dave headlined MSE, Central Cee is insane booking for 2nd down.
