Even if that's true it doesn't matter. It'll be Blink's first show back in England for god knows how long and they'll be on top form to play a good 'un. Not only that but i'm one of thousands who'll attend Leeds knowing that they grew up on Blink, their music is the soundtrack to my younger years and i for one can't wait :P

Green Day aren't bad live but 21st century breakdown is a terrible album, one of those bands who've gotton too big for their boots. Anyway, if you don't appreciate Blink then don't watch them, simple. They're playing Leeds either way so you can watch and have a good 'un or jog on!

This comment makes no sense to me.

Their side projects tanked which surely means that interest in Blink's reformation is low.Like when a footballer has been successful at one club, leaves and stinks at the next team no one is excited when he joins another team.

how? I ment it as no one would care about blink if their side projects were successful, it's blatantly obvious why they reformed and it's because of the money. As soon as the tour is over, they've got enough money they'll probably split up again.

+44 was a total failure as was boxcar racer, transplants and I'll even add A&A.

You have a point. I think Blink-182 could do a two hour slot with ease, and whoever says they only have two or three good songs is clearly a moron :P. I'll be highly surprised if Arcade Fire headline the main stage, but the NME headline slot would be perfect for them. My Chemical Romance are extremely poor live and although i can see them being a secondary headliner (at a push), i'll be gutted if they are given a main stage headline slot.

I want Blink 182, The Strokes and not really arsed about the third, as long as it isn't Linkin Park or someone along those lines.

Oh, and Soundgarden are sh!te, grunge died with Cobain.

Hmmmmmm.I can see where you're coming from.

However,i'm not quite as cynical with regards to Blink as i possibly would at other bands i.e. FNM,Soundgarden,RATM.

Travis was involved in a near fatal accident which i'm sure had a massive impact on the three of them feelings towards each other and probably was the spark which ignited the idea of them reforming.

Also,Travis has never been short of work touring and playing with any number of artists.

Tom and Mark have Atticus and McBeth which i'm sure sees them pay the bills on time.

The paying the bills thing is irrelevant, when people are rich, they generally want to be richer. Im sure they wont be giving their festival fee to charity. Blink may have given the travis accident as a reason for getting back together but realistically if they were getting back together for the money they arent going to announce it.

WHen most bands get together they will come up with some reason for getting back together. In general fans will say they are not doing it for the money and the rest will say they are. The latter group are right more than they are wrong. If one of their side projects had eclipsed blink would they still have reformed after a fatal accident? They may have sorted out their differences but I have my doubts that the memeber who had found the success would give it up. Even blink fans must admit it was a lot easier for them to get back together when their side projects flopped, than if they had been succesful.

And they key thing is, so what if they got together for money. Most people in this country try and make as much money as they can. Blink were hardly running as a non profit organisation before they split. The way I look at it, if they reform then everyone wins. They make a lot of money, their fans get to see the band they want and the world is rid of a couple of inferior side projects that wouldnt have even been signed if they didnt have a famous member involved. For some reason a lot of people seem to hate the thought of their favourite musicians being tempted by money, I have no problem with it at all.

Thats one of the most ridiculous comments I have seen in a long time on here, you are letting your musical tastes cloud their comments. I could just choose the 2 most popular blink 182 songs and claim that eveyone was their to see those 2 songs, but wouldnt mean it was true.

Kings of leon were already getting big crowds at festivals before those 2 songs came out, do you think people just turned up accidentally? KOL have had 5 top 20 singles, just as blink 182 have . By the fact that they have sold far more albums than blink 182, their non single tracks are also better known. To claim that blink have more songs people know is ridiculous.

Oh come on, let's not be ridiculous. Blink 182 are very much in the style of music of Reading and Leeds, and someone was questioning how popular they were. Also, if you want British sales figures, they have had 4 albums go gold in the UK; compare with Rage Against the Machine, with one gold and one silver. I'm not saying they're the biggest band to ever headline, but I don't see why there should be a backlash as such.

Rage were a massively influential band and have been cited as such in the years since their departure and the buzz was massive within the industry and fans alike for their return. That's why they were a suitable headliner in my opinion.

I just don't see that with regards to Blink.Headline Download easily but Reading?Would be far more suited as another Faith No More in my opinion.

With regards to album sales, why not McFly then? :P
