I'd love it if efestivals were messing with us and MCR arent playing and Arcade Fire and Blnk are playing but both sub-headliners. Who to though is another question. They aren't going to get 3 headliners as big as last year (by big i mean popular at the time)

They played some arenas on the back of the other album, it reached number one and had their biggest selling single on it as well as another one or two others. Now they're playing academy size venues (selling out tho) and the album hasn't done as well with smaller singles. If anything they've arguably got smaller not bigger to justify a move up one. I still maybe could see them being second tho FR's placings sometimes look a bit weird.

Re: LostProphets. They played academies but actually sold more tickets than when they did the arena tour as they had so many dates, and the final date is at the CIA in may which I believe has sold out though im not 100% sure.

They were also offered 2nd in 2007, but requested to play 3rd on the same day as Nine Inch Nails so they could watch them, which ironically was the gig that resulted in Ilian Rubin leaving Lostprophets to join NIN on tour.

They've also headlined Download since there last main stage apperance, and im sure I rememeber reading they specifically requested to play in the tent last year rather than main. (I remember a quote, something like "so we can see the whites of our fans eyes"?).

However, the album, and it's singles haven't done as well, and they've possibly been slightly forgotten about as they took so long with the new album.

Id say there about the same size give or take, and as such would definantly command 3rd from top, but wouldn't look particularly out of place as a sub-headliner, but only just. If anything there about half way between the two slots if that makes sense?

And let's not forget the whole "emo" sceney type era was in full swing when LT was released, which temporarily won them quite a few screaming 14 year old girls. (Thankfully at there gig in Bristol a few weeks ago, this element seems to have mostly gone, but il never forget seeing them in Plymouth in 2007 and they played the very rarely played Five is a Four Letter Word off the first album, and I was literally the only person I could see around me singing and dancing along. Everyone else looked as if they were wondering what they were playing)
