Delboy71
We always stay at the Premier Inn, Preston Brook, Runcorn. It's easy to find, fairly near and has a pub attached for food and drink. A local taxi firm run a shuttle bus to the site in the afternoon and the best way to get back is to flag a taxi down or walk (but it'll take you an hour to an hour and a half!!). We tried the taxi rank at the site last year and they all wanted fares into Liverpool so were quoting ridiculous money (£40ish) to do the 10 min taxi ride back to the hotel so it's better to start the walk and flag someone down (we did this on the Sunday) and it'll cost around a tenner. Let me know if I can help with anything else....

badly01
hi im a first time creamfielder coming from australia by myself. im thinking about booking at this premier inn preston brook that delboy71 mentioned. im not too keen on camping at the festival because ill be carrying everything im travelling around europe with on me and i wouldnt mind a decent shower and bed after each day. i just have a few questions. what time does this shuttle bus leave to creamfields each day? (i just realised i bought a weekend with camping ticket instead of a weekend without camping ticket, although it says on the creamfields website that the arena opens at 12pm on the saturday for campers, i assume i would be allowed in even with the camping ticket even if i was staying in a hotel)? also, this local taxi company doesnt do a return trip after the festival has finished each day? ive had a bit of a look on the premier inn website and its currently quoting 217 pounds for 3 nights friday 27th to monday 30th august for room only. for this attached pub do you need to book the 'premier inn meal deal'? which is quoting 277 pounds for the 3 days. many thanks

Delboy71
badly01 >> Hi mate. The shuttle basically runs on a round trip but I doubt it starts that early. It's a bit ad-hoc to be fair and just does it until it runs out of people wanting to go to the site from the hotel. They don't run a shuttle back as everyone leaves at different times but you can get their number and give them a ring but obviously it will be a bit more expensive. Last year we just walked back to the main road and flagged a taxi down. You do not need to book the food through the hotel site and can just eat in the pub when you like and pay for what you eat. The food's pretty good and reasonably priced so I never book in advance as I never know what i'm going to want to eat and when. I hope this helps but please let me know if I can help with anything else
badly01
hey mate thanks that helps alot. going to book accomodation sometime this week. i actually forgot to ask last time but i was also wondering what kind of i.d i would need at the festival. it says they ask you for i.d if you look under 21. im only 22 so there would be a chance thety ask me. im not too keen on taking a passport each day, would an australian 18+ proof of age card be ok, or is there anywhere i could get one in the uk before the festival? Delboy71
To be honest i'm not really sure what you should do about proof of age (i'm 38 so haven't had that problem for a long, long time!! ). I don't think you'll have a problem unless you look under 18 and your Aus ID may be ok but your best bet is probably to e-mail Cream on info@cream.co.uk and ask them. They're usually pretty good at replying. If they come back and say the only guarantee is to take your passport then you'll have a tough decision to make. you could always take it as ID and then leave it in the lockerboxes if they have them again this year. Sorry I can't be more help.......

Dis©oDan
I tend to give people a little advice staying a bi further afield usualy helps you get accomadated and no messing around... heres whe I advised on my FB group Danny Discodan Francis For those of you coming to Creamfields for the weekend on none camping tickets I would personaly select a hotel that is a little further from the site than the few they have in Runcorn, I know you are thinking about travel costs and whatnot, but you have to bear in mind that there are approximately 50,000 people in attendance at this event, now this does not include staff and engineers who sometimes have to stay in the local area so the hotels usually fill up pretty quickly. I would suggest Hotels in Warrington or Near to Liverpool Airport these two locations are only a short 10-15 minute cab ride away... and if you split the fare it works out nice! badly01
if i have a 2day camping ticket, but ive booked a hotel to stay in. does this really matter? i saw on the creamfields facebook page today they're saying: 'In response to a number of enquiries we’ve received,we would just like to clarify that if you have purchased a Camping ticket for Creamfields and you don’t intend to camp on site, then you will need to go back to your ticket agent and exchange your camping ticket for day tickets'.
