Just done some sums. 70-odd acts last year. 20-odd acts announced so far this year. That means *counts on fingers* 50 odd acts still to be announced - unless the acts this year are playing longer slots. That's feckin' brilliant!

70 as in established acts? Do they not advertise 130, understanding that some acts play twice maybe three times, also a large number of acts are unsigned.

Ah, sorry, was just looking at the BBC Music site from last year and counted up what they had in the Line Up section over all 3 days. Failed maths at school, so that probably explains it !! Even better if there's 100 or more

I did a quick count of last year and there was just short of 130 slots. That doesn't take into account any acts playing twice or artists who are on stage together ie 'ft.' or 'vs'.

So all in all I'd say there are about 130 acts over the weekend.

Brilliant! I thought it might not be that varied, being smaller than other festivals (never been before!) but doesn't sound like it at all. Top stuff!

Its pretty varied. Last year I went from Flaming Lips to a ceilidh group with decks (still no idea who they were as I was completely out of my tits) then Mylo. Awesome.

Good work! I mind at TITP one year the surreal site of folk (me and my mates included) who had obviously spent far too long in the Slam tent wandering in to the celidh tent and throwing shapes to the fiddles and accordians

Got stuck next to a guy at connect who didn't throw shapes, he came up with 'whole new body gestures'.

My shapes are usually pretty mangled. Like the tinned spaghetti shapes you used to get, especially the bits that were obviously meant to be a cow or a tractor or something but came out wrong from the machine
