If you buy tickets with coach travel do you have to go on the coach or could you go by car/train instead??

I read somewhere before that you have to go on the coach, as you are given your ticket on the coach!

we got given our ticket while we were on the coach last year, so i suppose you have to go on the couch unless you run quick

I bought mine here, says you pick them up when you get there from the big green coach tent. I'm planning on ditching the coach and picking them up there.
