The wait for this announcement is driving me up the wall. Not even any new rumours, just pure speculation. Will hopefully be worth it though.

^ yeah Download are doing a crazy good job this year stopping leaks, we didn't properly know the headliners until they were announced and no band has put up tour dates or anything yet lol.

(Except ACDC, which was clearly just to **** with Sonisphere lol).

to be honest at least 11 is great news, im hoping it will be higher tho obviously. Nice one ac!

11 seems pretty weak to me, we're at the third announcement and had to wait 6 weeks since the last - by most festivals standards this announcement would complete the main and second stages for us. Download has less stages then other festivals too book for too >_>.

I really would like longer then a month between knowing the lower stage bands, so I can like listen to them and see if theres any gems. Urgh.

20 bands in one announcement would be immense, and at this stage I'd expect some real quality in there. Looking forward to it!

Just noticed, by the way, that Deathstars have announced a UK tour about a week after Download. I reckon its possible - though not entirely my cup of tea.

it started at 11, andy has now said its up to 15, and will hopefully get it up to 20. Download twitter has spoke to him since and said pretty much its guna be 20.

Im guessing the deciding factor is on the acts playing other dates that need to be sold first.

@jammy The thing with download it aint like reading the acts tours dont just sell out like the fest itself. So download have to drip feed the bands, especially the smaller acts

The BIffy Clyro thing is from the guy on the official forums 'source', but I don't know how much I trust it as these sources have put tons of bands up there who arn't playing. Hopefully it isn't true, especially as HIM are supposedly playing to his source too >_>.

Hayseed Dixie are apparently playing, but it's not 100% signed, done and dusted. Few people spoke to them after recent gigs.

A Day To Remember are self confirmed too after people asking after gigs too, supposedly.
