I'm pretty happy with the announcement, really pleased with the friday 2nd stage going 36CF > ADTR > C&C > BFMV - with ACDC then to top it off apparently clash free .

Saturday still doesn't go far beyond Deftones and RATM, Rise to Remain seem okay though on first impression.

Sunday got Dillinger and August Burns Red which ain't bad either, will see Steel PAnther too. Not amazing though .

Still it's strong progress and I'd assume there's still one or two high slots left, eg Hellyeah surely can't be 4th top on the Saturday? Taking Dawn certainly won't be higher then opener either. We've got I'd say only 60% of the main and second stages and 2 more stages on top of that, sure by the end of it all I'll have plenty of good bands to see .

That's a dogshit list imho. Not anything to interest me. Amazed at how out of 22 bands there isn't one I would even watch. Oh well, I loved the previous announcements, you can't win em all.

Really low quality. Just me who thinks bands 17-38 should be have a bigger stature and better than that?

Really scraping the barrel with some of them if it is true. I actually think I wouldn't want to watch a single one of them

announcement night. My twitter is buzzing with excitement. I'm really hoping for Breathe Carolina and Finger Eleven as I doubt we'd get NFG as Slam Dunk are still "claiming" exclusivity

Lots of room on Friday I know they said it will have less because of ACDCs massive stage set up but surely a couple more? Slash ?

Guess they're waiting for Slash's album to come out before the announcement? He might have a few UK dates to sell or something? Soni could have thrown a big cheque at him though...

Overall it takes shape OKAY but once again it feels like Download puts bands higher then expected - Lamb of God defo arn't a 4th headliner type band imo, nor Billy Idol. Props on getting Coheed 2nd top of the second stage though.

There are still plenty of gaps but it'll take some inspired bookings to appease alot of people now. I'm generally happy with the line up, but think they could have pulled off a few more big names.

The more I look at it, the more disappointed I am. Shocking announcement. I'd watch Airbourne but they'll clash with STP. Apart from that, there's nothing for me.

How have Megadeth moved up the lineup since they last played?

That Saturday and Sunday mainstage are noway near strong enough after the headliners imo.

Stone Temple Pilots are playing 2nd for example, and they have sold f**k all for a one off Brixton date, everybody is just too high after the headliners. I've never even heard of Cinderella and they are a 5th from top mainstage band?

The headliners are awesome, but at what cost?

2nd stage is as good as last year in terms of size of acts but main stage has taken a nosedive badly.

Im hoping theres a few big acts for main stage yet, although Im happy with the top half of the bill for the money Ive spent, the quality throughout is nowhere near the level of last year at all

That's pretty fail if that's legit as far as I'm concerned.

Steel Panther clashing with Motorhead also sucks balls - I want to get bladdered and make an idiot of myself at both, not have to pick one over the other.

But Rage are still playing, so I'm not too bothered tbh.

Edit - oh yeah, still plenty of room on the Friday (I know there are fewer bands playing, but that main stage is pretty empty) that Slash could help fill.
