The Cribs, sunshine underground and pendulum

You're not alone at all. They are just covered in avergeness. I heard they had a good live reputation. Saw them at the NME big gig (I was there for the Manics, not them) and they were so piss poor. Every song just... is the same! Everything else I've heard of them on record is the same.

They're another one of those NME bands like the Horrors who are unbelievably classes as good! I've never seen a worser band live than the Horrors!

I've covered all of these on my leeds blog and marked them as self-confirmed.

- I got an email about SU self confirming from a fan that was at a recent gig

- same with the cribs this week

- saw a pendulum post on here about them self confirming at a gig

Don't know if this helps out in any way, but I thought it was interested to share.

The Horrors area a great band and are great live?

Pendulum sucked last time, and will probably command a stupidly high spot so really not bothered about them.

The Cribs i find dull.

The Sunshine Underground are ok, but honestlydon't knowmuch so will check them out.

Id probably see The Cribs if theres no one else on. Decent live band.

Pendulum are on joke on CD, let alone live. Simple music for simple people.

Especially that prick they get to run around on stage.

Never fully got into Sunshine Underground. Totally indifferent.

This doesn't really make much sense, but I believe you are trying to say The Horrors are bad live? In which case I have to disagree, they are one of the best live bands I've seen in the NME tent. And I don't know why you are calling them an NME band, whatever that is meant to mean.

I appreciate I didn't use fantastic grammar, but I was saying they were one of the worst bands I've ever seen live. I saw them support Placebo at the O2, so it's not like you can say the sound was bad, I could hear everything clearly. They just sound like a poor attempt the revive the fantastic 70s/80s punk scene.

And NME band = band NME seem to promote endlessly because they have a certain gimic about them.

This is all my opinion from the evidence I have seen and heard. I'm not saying it's fact.
