I hate it when Lock-up bands play the main stage. The atmosphere is pretty dead and the sound quality is awful. I'd much prefer all the punk bands to play in a packed tent.

There are exceptions to this mind - NoFX and Less Than Jake can both give a good show on the main stage.

I love the Living End, but they were wasted on the main stage last year:( sound quality was awful, hardly anyone knew who they were and there atmosphere was dead. A couple of years previous they were sub-headliners on the Lock-Up and it was awesome.

Lockup always seems to be a similar bunch, with a bit of rotation year on year. Therefore I predict a lineup pretty much the same as 2008. The Hevy Festival have just announced a fair few bands that I would expect to play too. Dead Swans and Polar Bear Club I reckon are sure to be there at some point.

are dropkick murphy's not too big for the lock up?

i'm not hugely into punk (my mrs is!!!!) so i find it hard to tell. i'd love to see them again though.

i'd also like to see the get up kids, the ataris, ozma and an impossibles reunion would be a dream come true but won't happen! :P
