I think that's very very harsh. Racing in different formulae was just how it was then. (and with many of the circuits of the day its quite likely no-one would see you crash.) Would you include Graham Hill in your list because he died in an accident related to his not-exactly-brilliant own team?

Rubbish... The super slow reply the BBC showed had it less than a second... This is backed up by the FACT that they where not punished for a unsafe release... Eddie Jordan said they did nothing wrong. In fact the only person who thought they did something questionable was the bias scot.

Well yeah, but he was coming back from a testing session. If he hadn't of loved the thrill of racing so much, he wouldn't have set up his own team, he wouldn't have been there etc. Not massively dissimilar to Clark. He didn't have to be there, but he wanted to be.

And Martin Brundle - and the super slow reply (whatever that is) showed it was not less than a second, as Vettel was clearly alongside and Hamilton was spinning his wheels.

Here

I suggest you investigate the facts before falling back before bringing up the race card.

And the word is biased. Not bias.

They were both accidents, and their love of racing was the reason that they were in their respective vehicles when they both crashed.

Hawthorn is something slightly different; depending on what you read/believe, he was racing Rob Walker on public roads and blacked out.

Alright - you can add Hill to the list then.

Benj - I commended Hamilton for his overtaking the very sentence before I described him as dick for driving at speed nearly through the Williams team. I stand by it. He was a dick for doing that.

By the time he's halfway into the Williams pit, he should have slowed down and gone behind Vettel. But instead of doing that, he's happy to be a dick, put people in danger and not yield when he hasn't got the right of way.

That's why he's a dick.
