so ive just got back from a pretty epic gig with ym@6 in leeds.... and towards the end there were VERY strong hints that leeds is on the bill this year

I actually reall like one of their songs...but the rest is rubbish in my opinion. I'm never one to blast a line up, esspecialy before it's announced, but lets just say I'm worried this year won't be to my taste.

Come on now, petty firing back. Add some reason to debates.

I don't particularly like arcade fire but I'm not gonna come out with a statement I think there the worst band on earth. That's because I know they are very popular and have sold out arenas. Maybe you could say they are your least favourite band on earth. But clearly not the worst.

I don't rate ymas. I understand there genre is the in thing at the minute, and they are quite popular with that audience. But do they really have the staying power? Can you see them headlining in 5 or 10 year? Do they fit in with the likes of rage, smashing pumpkins, foos, metallica and even arcade fire who have headlined during times when there genre hasn't been the in thing at the time?

I can't help but think there gonna be a nine black alps, or electric six or the paddingtons. All decent bands in there genres time.

But to state someone is the worst band on earth is being a little silly.

I didn't think they were bad last year, never heard them play before but catched the second half of their set on nme.

Their live lounge on radio 1 is quality... covered poker face

When I saw the title of the thread, I thought you had spelt "why" incorrectly with an "e". Nevermind. I saw them last year and wasn't impressed at all. Having said that, I know that they are popular and therefore understandably included on the bill.

After some of the comments above I can understand why some people feel that their opinion is worth more than others.
